On Friday our friends at Workbar Cambridge hosted a large group of Innovation Breakfasters for some great networking, a quick round of introductions and even a tour of the co-working space only minutes from the Central Square T stop. (And for those with cars, there was plenty of metered parking and lots nearby too.) We shared some pictures on our Facebook page.
Workbar Cambridge will also be hosting our October Mass Innovation Nights event, sponsored by Babson’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership and featuring new products from companies with Women founders. We’re so pleased to see the RSVPs are split between men and women because while the founders may be women; this is an event for everyone!
Workbar’s Cambridge site has a downstairs, street level “cafe” area with open seating, a tall bar (where our hosts put out coffee and yummies for our visit) and a mezzanine with a conference room. Upstairs, on the 5th floor, Workbar offers a combination of open seating and private offices. Some great Workbar features include green features (Fair trade coffee, recycling programs, daylight harvesting) and professional networking, aided and abetted by the super involved community manager, on-site, natch. Don’t forget the not one but two roof decks for nice days! It’s pretty cool to look up at the electronic board and see who else is “in the house” if you need to connect with services or other entrepreneurs. We also like the Workbar Outer Spaces program where you can sublet a space from another startup or larger companies when they have extra space.
Our Innovation Breakfast group was large, diverse and enthusiastic. We’ve settled into a regular agenda:
Next week’s Innovation Breakfast will be at our home base, the Woburn Tradecenter 128. The breakfast will be hosted in our co-working space, Launch, as part of Century Suites. Century Suites offers co-working, single offices, executive suites and small group office options…and us! Come visit as part of the Roving Innovation Breakfast series. RSVP today
